I haven’t done blankets- living in Alaska, even in the summer I’m usually wearing or at least carrying a coat! A nice jacket with a gore-tex shell laid out works great, especially if it’s damp out.
That being said I’d be fibbing if I claimed never to have found bits of forest in odd places. So perhaps the blanket is a wise choice! (Though less sneaky!)
