So are there any fun activities coming up at the ranch in the next few weeks?

By that, I mean any wet tee, nuts and bolts, dance, pin the tail on the leprechaun, pool party, cookout party, etc…

Oh good question! I seem to miss them on my yearly visit.

The bordelo run is this Saturday and we are the final stop this year! Its gonna be a blast! Also we are doing “Go Red for Dena” for heart disease awareness month, all that donate for it get a heart with their name or a fake name on the stripper pole in the bar, and anyone who donates over 20 gets a rope bracelet hand made by Dena and the girls.

I have always thought a Nuts and Bolts party would be fun. Not knowing who you are going to party with, just going around the room, talking and flirting with all the ladies, until finally you find the one whose hex nut fits your bolt, and off you go! If Sheri’s would start having Nuts and Bolts parties I would certainly try to make it out there for one of them!

Now this could just be my nerdy and perverted sides coming out but, could be lots of fun to turn the bar in to one giant cards against humanity party. I find it’s a great way to open up and get to know people in a relaxed game setting.

So my understanding of a Nuts and Bolts Party, is that they go to the hardware store and buy an assortment of bolts and matching hex nuts, all different sizes and thread pitches, only one set of any one size. The ladies are given a hex nut, which I suppose they could run a thin ribbon through and hang around their necks, and as the men show up they are issued a bolt. You go around the room, talking and flirting with the women, checking to see if your bolt fits into her hex nut. When you find the match, off you go!

I would assume you are not obligated to party with your match, but here’s why I think it would be fun. The few times I have been to Sheri’s, I look on the web site in advance to see which ladies are working my week, and try to decide which ones I am most interested in. But when you get to the bar, the one or ones on my list may or may not be there. Even if they are, there are still many other fine looking ladies who are tempting. What to do, what to do? Decisions, decisions…

So the Nut and Bolt Party would take some of that decision making out of your hands, and you might get to party with a lady who you might have passed over for someone else, but still you wished you could have partied with her too. I think that mystery would be enticing.

So, Sheri’s, how about it? Can you do a Nuts and Bolts Party? And can you do it on May 20 or June 10, when I think I could make it out there? 😉

It’s been a number of years and I could be mistaken, but I got the Nuts and Bolts party idea from seeing it on Sheri’s boards a few years ago for St. Patrick’s Day. Pretty sure Sheri’s has done it at least once in the past.

This nuts and bolts party sounds intriguing, I think there definitely needs to be another party to fill the gap between Christmas and Halloween.

I think a weekly activity would be less effort than a more structured formalized party. YMMV.

I deffinately agree with Flint. It would also help to draw people in on less productive days.

So here is what I think would be a fun addition to the Nuts and Bolts party. All the matched couples go off to one big room, maybe the Playland, for one big orgy. So while you are playing with your Nut-and-Bolt-matched partner, the place is full of other matched couples banging it out. Gawd, that would be so hot! I can imagine lots of reasons why they might say they can’t do that, but Oh Gawd that would be so hot!

Cassie and I will be at the ranch in 2 weeks… We can always make some trouble, I mean FUN if you need it! I have made her fly around the ranch in my Robin costume… Epic indeed. Maybe we need to bring our scooters, if we can be ninja enough to not get caught and have them taken away again 🙁

So planning a visit to the ranch. I am from down under looking to maybe go down and under. Any of these activities sound like fun and if there is anything on during my short USA trip, i am in.

What informal activities go on while you are waiting to speak to people or between parties?

Either or. The nut/bolt parties were always a hit in university but cards against our other card games could be fun. A great way to help match a punter with the right lady. I mean finding the right gal before hand and booking is fun but not knowing exactly all the little things of all the ladies, sometimes meeting them all can be a challenge. I am not a big fan of the “line up”. Too much pressure and then you have a brief moment thinking “did i make the right choice?”. That is until you get escorted to the ladies room and all doubt is usually but a distant memory………
