I would like your views on this. Have you ever done it? Does it count in a train/bus/plane bathroom or has to be in a seat? Maybe only in the outdoors?

I don’t see why it has to be in a seat. I don’t think it gets any more ‘public’ than among the trees in a park! But then, there are a lot of small local woods where I live. IMHO, all of those count.

I haven’t done blankets- living in Alaska, even in the summer I’m usually wearing or at least carrying a coat! A nice jacket with a gore-tex shell laid out works great, especially if it’s damp out.

That being said I’d be fibbing if I claimed never to have found bits of forest in odd places. So perhaps the blanket is a wise choice! (Though less sneaky!)
