Tonight I watched a show on CNN about Bitcoin. I had heard of Bitcoin and knew it was a virtual currency, but did not understand how it works. Now I understand it a little. Just wondering, does Sheri’s Ranch accept Bitcoin? For someone wanting to visit the Ranch anonymously, with no credit card records, sounds like Bitcoin would be ideal.

    hoochie coochie man,

I know Sheri’s office accepts most credit cards with no surcharge and cash but no checks. There’s an ATM machine available on premises too. I recommend you telephone the office at (866) 820-9100 to inquire about other forms of payment such as Bitcoin or PayPal.

I read an article from a well-known Economist who said Bitcoin is an “Imaginary made-up form of currency”. Its worth in “real dollars” fluctuates wildly on the exchanges and cannot be seriously considered a form of money. Real businesses won’t accept it (ever) because it is made up, not backed by any government, and its worth fluctuates too wildly to be used in the real world.
